New Features Update

Hello again Trookers!

We’ve been very busy working to make Trooker the best online video search, sharing, publishing and now broadcasting site, so it’s been a while since our last update.

We’ve expanded our team and have developed and added new features, as well as perfecting our ping pong skills during breaks.

Check out the exciting new features at Trooker.com. We are very proud of our new live video lounges. This revolutionary technology allows you to watch videos simultaneously with your friends. You can create playlists and broadcast them live, receiving instant feedback through real-time chat while watching the same videos together. We’ve focused on making the lounges easy-to-create and use for everyone; lounge creators and participants. Simply create a playlist of videos, and click broadcast. This will give you a unique url where you can invite friends and show off your VJ-ing skills.

We are buzzed about this new avenue that we are taking and hope that you’re ready to turn online video viewing into a fully sociable, interactive environment. Trooker lounges have been already introduced to Fubar.com, the online happy hour social site, and so far we’ve had great feedback! People are having loads of fun being online VJs and have created lots of new playlists to show their friends what they are interested in.

Trooker Web Released

Trooker Web Version is now released!!!

Now you get all of the fun of using Trooker without having to install any app. Access your Trooker account from anywhere by just going to http://www.trooker.com .

Trooker was created in Flex and we will be soon relaunching our client app (for those who like to have the player running on its own) based on Adobe Apollo runtime.

We really worked hard to have this release out to you as soon as possible. We hope you like it and please send us feedback on ways that we can improve the app.

Trooker Player Update 0.9.9.8

In this release:

1. Updates for chat including multi-user message send and treeview

2. Fix for adding users to instant messaging roster immediately after registration.

3. Fix for Video Set form scrolling (last video in the set was only partially visible)

4. On Delete of a video from video set we don’t close the video set form anymore

5. We added the option of turning the video play on/off (in Settings menu). When off the application keeps playing when minimized allowing the use of Trooker as a jukebox. In this mode of operation the app uses minimal CPU (it is the video rendering that is processor intensive).

6. MySpace service now searches based on tag as well as normal search.

Enjoy the upgrades fellow Trookers. BTW, the web version is coming very, very soon. Almost there.

Jabber Upgrade

We moved our jabber service from public server to our own jabber server. We now have more control over its up-time, 100% is what we are shooting for, as well as backups and all the other good administrative stuff so you don’t have to worry about your contacts ever being lost. That being said, you do have to upgrade to latest Trooker version in order to connect to our new jabber server – this version is 0.9.9.1. Sorry for the trouble but it should be painless as long as you first un-install your old Trooker.

Hello, hello, and say hi to Trooker.

We are very happy to be out with our Trooker beta and we want to share our excitement with you. We will be publishing regular posts on this blog to let you know what is new in the Trooker world and what your fellow Trookers are up to.
